Transforming a kitchen from outdated, country western style into mid-century class was always going to be a challenge. We began by anchoring the focal point of the room to the sputnik light and highlighted the client’s love of healthy food by displaying cookbooks. We added a mirror for depth, light transmission, and of course glamour, while a walnut butcher block was added to warm up the white colour pallet. Mixed metals, in gold and copper, add a final spark of glam, and a playful infusion of emerald green helps accentuate the charm of the kitchen via the lower cabinets.
